Priya joined the Gelbergs Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in 2013 and specialises in property litigation and insolvency.

Priya has managed complex litigation matters in the High Court involving obtaining an injunction to prevent a high-powered bank from repossessing a property to successfully obtaining an order for bankruptcy against a debtor who was found to have a financial portfolio in excess of £1 million.

No case is too small however, and as well as some high-profile work Priya also enjoys dealing with more day to day matters involving disputes between landlords and tenants, general debt recovery or contract disputes. She prides herself on her ability to provide clients with not just sound legal advice, but also good commercial and pragmatic guidance to help them resolve issues, where possible, without the need for court action.

Priya takes a genuine and personal interest in each case and works closely with a trusted network of specialists, including surveyors and barristers to ensure that her clients receive top-quality legal service.

Priya is incredibly passionate and believes that her early background in personal injury and clinical negligence work has helped her to better empathise with the clients she deals with today. As such Priya goes beyond her job, having qualified as a mentor at the House of Lords, and mentors other people progress in their careers or business. She also regularly attends advice clinics open to the general public to advise them on their legal rights. 

Priya also speaks fluent Gujarati and intermediate Hindi and in her spare time, teaches Bollywood dance in the Potters Bar area.
