Emmajane Taylor-Moran joined Gelbergs in 2011 as Head of the Employment Law Department, moving from a Legal 500 listed niche City firm. She is now a Partner in the firm.
Emmajane has extensive experience in advising employers and employees in all aspects of employment law, and managing high-profile and complex litigation in the tribunals and courts. She recognises how stressful legal action can be for clients, and provide the support and guidance that they need throughout this process.She has a commercial and pragmatic approach to advising business clients and always listens to their needs and works to their particular objectives.
Emmajane also advises employees on their employment rights and has an excellent track record in negotiating favourable exit packages and compromise agreement and settlement agreement terms, particularly for high net worth individuals working in the financial services/banking industry, and for senior executives.
She has extensive knowledge of the public sector, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Regulatory Bodies, educational institutions and voluntary organisations. Her particular interests are TUPE, social media and discrimination.
Specific career highlights have been representing Claimants in a breach of contract claim in the Court of Appeal involving discretionary bonus payments (GX Networks Ltd v Greenland  EWCA Civ 784), and in a multiple party complex TUPE case involving service provision change in the motor industry (Grace v Geo W King Ltd & Ors  UKEAT).
Emmajane is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
Emmajane was appointed Chair/President of the Islington Chamber of Commerce in July 2016. This is a proud achievement which is well deserved recognition for the time and effort that she has invested in the Chamber over the past few years.
